Appsflyer CTV integration guide

Before we start

Keep in mind that in AppsFlyer, you will have a unique one cross-device tracker (Onelink). This means that the
following setup will be applied to both operating systems without the need of repeating these steps for both Android
and iOS

For IOS Only:

Enable Advanced Privacy (for iOS 14.5+ and later): Please toggle “OFF”

Default Postbacks

In the “Sending Option” of “Install” event, please choose “All media sources, including organic”

In App Events

In-app Events Postback: Please toggle “on”
In-App Events Postback Window: Please set it as “Lifetime”
Please Add Manually the different events you want to share with YouAppi.
Recommended events: App open (must for RT activity), FTD/Purchase, Level achievement

Attribution link tab

In the Attribution link tab, when creating a OneLink link, select Use OneLink.

  • Select the OneLink template you created for cross-platform attribution

Attribution link tab: VTA Window

Scroll down to View-through attribution for cross activity: Turn on Cross-platform attribution. This adds the af_xplatform=true parameter to the impression attribution link and gives the link cross-platform attribution capabilities

Best Practices

  • Share non-attributed conversions data with your trusted partners
    Non-attributed conversion data helps us better calculate which users are more likely to interact with your app, allowing us to optimize
    campaign performance to reach and engage your target audience more effectively.
  • Choose the right conversion window ror your CTV campaigns:
    Combining this longer VTA window with assisted conversions will allow you to get a clearer picture of how your CTV campaigns are
    influencing user behavior.
  • Map multiple events –at least 3-5 events.
  • Track assisted conversions:
    Assisted conversions, which are tracked once the campaign is live, provide further insights into the impact of your CTV efforts. They help you
    figure out which strategies are contributing to conversions.
  • Enable equal priority
    activate AppsFlyer’s equal priority toggle so as to prioritize CTV over mobile impressions for up to 6 hours. During this window, impressions
    will get the same attribution priority as a deterministic click, which secures equal attribution priority across both CTV and mobile
